Thus far I'm very impressed with the level of service I've gotten from site5. I'm using site5 to host the Ruby on Rails versions of ericbt.com and bjterrell.com.
As a Rails novice I've made numerous support requests, all of which were handled in a timely fashion with thorough professionalism. Since I'm paying less than $9.00 US per month for my shared hosting account, the quality of the support is very impressive. Also, I should add that I even submitted support requests during the USA Thanksgiving holiday, and those requests were handled with the same speed and care given to previous requests.
I haven't yet measured the performance of my websites. I plan to use the Chrome Page Speed extension to determine how well the sites are preforming.
site5's administrative interface is quite comprehensive and easy to use. I am especially impressed with their backup mechanism, and their website traffic reports.
